Title: ECU Problems
Post by: Paul K on 02 December 2008, 11:53:10
I have a Omega 2.5 CDX with a burnt out ECU and the harness stocket. I have got a replacement ECU from my local breakers and now I trying to find a relacement harness. Can any one help providing the ECU is OK and I get a harness will they work or will I have a problem with the coding?  :( :-[

Burnt out!

You will also need the immobiliser unit (fitted around the ignition barrel), key transponders and idealy the security code from the donor.

Its worth considering replacing the whole engine loom rather than just splicinga  new connector in, if you do this then get a loom from a car of th same age as some of the sensor connectors were different shapes.
