OK- who else has sucessfully managed to separate the lens from the reflector?
Next questions are:
1) What adhesive did you use to put the shattered plastic adjuster back together? Superglue not having any sucess
2) What solvent did you use to get the black mastic sealant off you hands?
3) What sealant did you use when reassembling?

Got mine apart with a hair dryer. It's surprising how little difference in degrees the sealant needs to become pliable, I mean you can spend 5 minutes going round the edge to warm it up and it will stay soft long enough to seperate it.
1: I used Araldite to fix the adjusters, lob a load of it on there in the corners and all to reinforce it!
2: Rub them in your best jeans
3: I just heated the old stuff up again

1. Swapped the adjusters for the non-broken 'white' plastic ones from my old non-projector headlights.
2. Used the ball of mastic pulled off headlights, keep it warm with hairdryer and use it to tack to the bits stuck to your hands :y
3. There was enough sealant left in the groove around rear housing, go around with hair dryer to soften up then clip lense into place. did use a small amount of bog standard diy sillicone sealant (kitchen / bathroom stuff) to top up any gaps.
You won't see this sealant because the bottom edge is behind bumper trim and the top/side edge has a rubber gasket ;)
