Post by: Raymienets on 05 December 2008, 20:20:58
My Omega CD 2.2 has been driving without any problems. Parked it in my drive and left it for 2 days. Went to start it this morning cant get it to start. turning over but wont start. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Not very helpful of here are we. Okay been looking through the forum and crank sensor keeps coming up as a common problem for engine not starting. If I need to replace this were is it located on my 2.2 CD petrol.

Does it eventually catch?

I would recommend getting the fault codes read, rather than randomly changing part, and perhaps introducing new problems.

2.2 does suffer from CAM sensor problems.  The 2.2, unlike the v6, will start (eventually, will be a bit harder) with either the cam or crank sensor failed (but not if both have failed).

Pop the Ecostrip off, and check for oil/water in the plug wells.
