Title: heater rubbish

my heater are cold,i removed wipers and scuttle, removed heater pipes,and flushed out matrix,filled up pipes an refitted,topped up antifreeze and ran vehicle up to temp,wamish for few secs, then cold again,no signs of coolant loss,i use car every day ,top heater hose hot,bottom cool.has any body sorted there heaters out,because there is a lot of omega v6s out there with crap heaters,and im freezing,heated seats keep some chill off,please help :'( :'(

I know how you feel - have the same problem. Have you checked the Heater Bypass Valve?

Sounds like the pypass valve...

Two possibles.

1) Vaccum pipe issue
2) Water pipes connected wrongly.....

On my old Omega I had to flush the heater rad about 4 or 5 times before it was finally sorted. Each time it would be hot for 1 or 2 days then back to cold, flush it out again and then warm again for a while and so on.
Perserverance in my case paid off.

i have been chasing the same problem since i purchased mine in february and still have not found a cure :(
good luck with yours and hopefully yours will be an easy fix :y

sorry to hijack thread but did it just start working properly? as i also have found this to work for a day or two, but no long term fix other than i could go for a 50mile drive with no heat but part way through journey heater will work then not work
