i know it may sound strange ive got a omega saloon but i have a few sinclair C5's yes the 80s icon, so far ive carried them round in a box trailer behind my car or 4x4 but im thinking of getting rid of my saloon and getting an estate....
-
well i got a 6ft fridge freezer in mine as the passenger front seat folds forward on the estate [dont know about the saloons] & shut the tailgate o,k,,,,does that help? ;)
-
sinclair C5's
is that the one that came out after the spectrum? ;D
if your question isnt answered soon, I think its in the handbook that comes with the omega (if you have it) I deffo remember seeing it somewhere, if all else fails Ill measure my estate for you tomorrow. :y

yeah ive a few C5s one of the first 20 built, a real 80s icon, great fun with a 24 volt conversion and disc brakes and 5 speed conversion.. i think its 5ft 8" long my box trailer is 6ft and they fit in there just, just thinking for the shows one in the back one on the roof and caravan on the back and the mrs wont be moaning about having to tent it anymore and i still get to keep an omega

i've had a 6'6" door in the back of my saloon with the seats down and my chest resting on the steering wheel ;D got the boot shut though, it's an amazingly big car :y

done middle of knowhere mind... but close to newent...

i need the height as well as length, a bent C5 is a worthless C5.. especially when you have one with a 1.5k paintjob...!
-
Here are some measures (mm) of the Omega estate boot, the figures were taken from a magazine, dunno if they are correct...:
Width 1120 between wheelwells, max width 1400
Length back seat up 1190, seat down 1880
Heigth up to windows 400, max 850
VDA capacity 510 litres

kcl thanyou.. for that..
-
I know you can get an 8ft by 4 ft sheet of ply wood in the back with the seats down (and they fold truely flat) with only about 12 inches sticking out the back!
-
its going to eat a 5ft 8" sinclair then...! excellent, think time to sell the cdx saloon and get an estate then
-
Cant recall the height....think its about 800mm or so?
-
Q How long is a omega estate with the back seats dwn
A Same length as with the back seats up ;D ;D ;D :y
Seriously big load space tho :y
-
Bought a sheet of ( 8'x4') ply from B & Q last week had it cut at 74" length. It fitted into the back nicely, back seats down with nothing trimmed off the width.
I've also had a bathroom suite in there, and a 6' wardrobe (not at the same time) ::). Just failed to get a 2 seater settee in due to it having those big wing arms on, got the two chairs in though with a struggle.
