Title: Price of new or secondhand cats for a 2.5?

Just doing a bit of forward planning in case The MOT tester here fails the car on emissions.

The nice man who doesn't like V6 Omegas pointed out that one of my cats sounds as though the "ceramics" have come adrift. Today it sounded like a tin of nuts and bolts.

How much are they new please? How much secondhand?

Are you sure its not the heat shield around the cat thats rattling?? If it is then a jubilee clip or two will fix it back in place...
