Title: Anyone any good at soldering in chips? Scotland?
Post by: Arrolman on 07 December 2008, 12:37:37
Hi,

Discovered yesterday that my chip needs to be soldered into my ECU, which means the old one needs de-soldering. Im not willing to do it as my soldering is crap :-/, would rather someone who knows what there doing has a go. Long shot I know, but is there anyone that could help? Central Scotland area preffered?

Cheers,
Iain

Try a local TV repair shop - might work out cheaper than posting it off to a member?

Also, get them to fit a socket, rather than just solder new one in place.
