Title: MAF Sensor Signal too low and Multi Misfire
Post by: Dennis on 20 December 2008, 15:54:41
Hi all

First of all can I thank everyone who has answered my questions in the past, not sure I ever said thanks! I still a newbie so sorry for forgetting!  ::)

Now, I seem to have more questions!

I have had a new MAF sensor fitted as I was getting 2 codes telling me a problem on Bank 1 and Bank 2 and seemed the MAF sensor seemed to cure this, however I now have the following codes and not sure if they are related:

P0100-002 MAF/VAF Sensor Signal Too Low
P0300-008 Multi Misfire Detected

My Mig has been pretty much ok although have had a couple of mornings when its been really grotty for about 1 minute with the revs being very low/up and down and sometimes even stalling. Then after about a minute of pumping the revs a little it seems fine and then perfect for the rest of the day!

Any pointers would help as my local garage are not too sure and would prefer to avoid the stealers if I can!

Thanks all, oh and Merry Christmas  ;D

Do you think it could be something as simple as that  :-?

Is the misfire something related to the MAF or just coincidence that its having problems at the same time?

I sound so thick about how cars work ......  hmmm maybe I am  ::)
