Title: no heat from blower but heat in all pipes at hbv

hi folks as descibed in the topic head i got heat in all three pipes on the hbv but nothing into cabin through the blower ??any ideas??
should there be vacum on pipe at all times?

if the fan is working, then most likely vac related. Check the vac system, diag in guide section, esp the elbow on top of hbv and pipes to bulk head by the heater pipes to bulk head oval panel drivers side.

Where in Fife are you?  I'm in the Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy area, if thats of use....

i am in inverkeithing,cant seem to get to the bottom of this at all , i had the vac pipe off the hbv and there was no suction on the pipe but heat in all three pipes from the valve, got me stumped!!

Hello folks
The same symptoms noticed in mine too .. the pipe going into matrix was very hot while the other coming out was cold ..this means that the HBV is working good..so i flushed the matrix with both air and water and then reconnect the pipes. The heater is working fine now.

the HBV only diverts when vac is applied.  Disconnecting the vac supply should allow hot water to the heater matrix. if you still don't get heat, feel the matrix pipes above the clutch/brake pedal - if they are hot then the matrix is getting hot feed - its either a blocked matrix or the air dist unit

  You should get vac on to the HBV is you select full cold (if you have basic aircon - not climate this means both temp dials to full cold, you will hear two microswitched close that trigger the vac solenoid)  I don't know about the climate set up but guess it is similar - select full freeze wherever you can and you should get vac.

blocked matrix deffo had loads of trouble with me dads !!  >:( >:(because some idiot put redweld in it before we got it !!

looking like the matrix i have 1 warm pipe and 1 blistern hot, warm one will be the return...

anyone tell me how the bulkhead pipes come off on the facelift ? :y
