How does the Mv6 run with a de ristricted airbox and a Panel Filter?
Does it help or is there no point?
I know alot of Vauxhalls hate Induction kits but i want to keep the airbox and just replace the filter with a K&N panel!
Anybody had positive feedback from doing this?

Save your money mate & buy an OE filter, preferably with a Trade Club card. No gains to be made over standard. :y

So what about Derestricing, is this worth it or not?

Those on the forum that know, all say that the OE airbox is more than capable of supplying enough air for the car, and the filter will give enough air flow through it.

Thats brilliant, cheers.
Standered she stays then!
First mods are Oil n Filter and Coolant change, and the Timing belt me thinks.
Was just mensioning the deristrictions to the OE box because most Vauxhall Forums are quite into that :)

Lots of past threads on the subject seem to imply ..
1) panel filter makes no difference to performance at all, and if incorrectly fitted may actualy reduce performance
2) panel filter does increase noise level slightly
3) panel filter (oiled type) has a major tendency to contaminate the MAF and cause serious problems
4) panel filter costs a good deal more than OE filter
HTH .. :)

My MV6 sounds rather nice with a drilled airbox and "cold air" feed pipe.
It won't help power, specially when it gets warm outside. But 1st to 4th with the pedal to the floor goes
Grin, Grinnn, GRINNN, GRinnnnnn. By then the clock says 120...

Will bare that in mind cheers guys.
I think the engine will stay 100 percent standered , my money will go on Fixing it and maintaining it no doubt :)
