To comply with DfT's interpretation of UK law:

so i would require a set of hid units from a donor omega!

a simple water system and set of washer heads!

does anyone know does the self leveling system in the omega headlight require special hard ware or just a electrical feed from main lights switch??

What about fitting them as upgrade to main beams on existing HID system?  Only downside delay in firing up?

To use HIDs as main beam, they need to be on all the time, and use shutters.  Strike time and bulb life prevent being able to switch on when needed.

Chap I spoke to from DfT a few months back did say they were planning a clampdown due to the influx of cheap aftermarket kits that are usually poorly adjusted and cause glare due to wrong lenses, no washing etc

I have fitted a similar kit to my fog lights with 6000k bulbs and a 4 led side light bulb,so now have a fairly uniform colour when all illuminated...didn,t try a HID upgrade on main beam for reasons mentioned earlier.

Suspension levelling is enough to appease the law.
