I have an 2000 Mv6 Auto, reverse lights work but only when i touch the auto stick , seems like theres maybe a switch under the leather casing in which needs adjusting?
Am i right in thinking this?
As i cant remember, i select reverse and it goes in lovely but i have to touch stick and hold it up very slightly and then reverse lights come on, the play is like 2-3mm?

Not sure, but you can remove the gaiter from around the auto gearstick and shine a torch inside and check if you can see which bit is being affected when you shift it into R.... just a thought.

Selector linkage arm under body needs adjustment. Failing that, there is adjustment via the two bolts holding the selector switch onto gearbox. No switch under gearstick gaiter, all relevant to linkage and selector switch adjustment :y
