Hi All,
Happy new year!
Got a problem with the external temp sensor on my car, was a bit puzzled as it seemed to affect the climate control too, so I had a browse at a couple of posts and just wanted to check my understanding.....
So since yesterday the temp sensor has said FoC, presumably this means Fault? On the way to work this morning it got really cold in the car - I've now read that the external temp sensor turns off the chiller below 5C so presumably this doesn't happen when it fails?
Any common faults with this - is it likely to be the connector to the sensor or the sensor itself? I read it was located below the washer bottle at the front, is this right? What does it look like?
I guess the 'eco' setting will make it warmer for the journey home anyway......
Cheers,
John.

It's clipped to the edge of the bumper underneath, I don't think there's much else there. I have another at home I can photo for if needed but it's quite obvious when you get there. About £6 for a new one.

I did mine two weeks ago, just before the cold weather started.
The whole climate control was "out of control" no heating at all.
Even with the cabin temperature set at 28 degrees centigrade.
15 euri at the dealer, easy job.
