Where do you live, so someone on here may be close enough to assist? :-? :-?

Changing the HBV is fairly straightforward, but is fiddly due to its location at the rear of the engine!! ;)

Refer to this OOF Guide as well:

if the HBV is playing up there is usually a pool of water under the car when the engine is running with the heater on!

Are the pipes going through baulkhead getting hot?

Do you get heat if you disconnect vac pipe from HBV?

Hi Think I may have same problem
How do you you undo the connectors to the heater matrix? I can see the pipes but can't work out how they come off

Thanks

Mick

first of all thanx to razzo and becon boy i really appreciatye your help.well i did put rad flush and then went for a drive to southend.the heater kept blowing cold and warm air but still it hasnt reached its peak yet i need to bleed the water and do part 2 for rad flush and see if that does unblock the matrix comletely.if it does not work then wot is my other best option to unblock the matrix completley then?
