Hi All
As many of you know i "tinker" with various cars.....i have decided after my fun Rover Vi that i restored then got stolen that i am going back into this market.
On top of buying and selling and trying to get my hands on an omega a project i want either a corsa or Cavalier.
Bog standard and basic the only thing required is an excellent shell.
Iguess you can all see where this is going huh :o experimental engine time :D
So the question is what would be more fun an old corsa or a Cav and has anyone any similar ( wierd) ideas to me?

How's the 620ti going Markie?
er its been and gone - changed front brake pads and discs and fired out the door before i got used to the ride ;)
Still needed a window regulator but it was mot`d and made a few pennies ;)

Quick turnaround, small profit, thats the way to do it [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Decisions hmm
I'd be tempted to do a tunnelling. reccommends as below
Cavalier, tunnel, Omega/Carlton axle Omega V6 engine box
Corsa, tunnel, Escort/Avenger axle, X20XEV with omega 5 speed box

I used to have a 2.0 16v (C20XE) Corsa...Was really fast and well worth the conversion...not hard to do, there are loads of conversion kits out there for the X20XE, check in Total Vauxhall magazine or on ebay.

Yes but I'm suggesting a conversion done by some rally teams. If like me you find high power FWD cars scarey this works well.
One of my earlier cars was a modded Sunbeam - one of the last small RWD cars, this handled well and went well. You could enter a tight corner fast on a trailing throttle ready to burst out the other side while the FWD trying to follow you understeers across the road.
