Title: Wishbones

Putting some new wishbones on or should i say trying too but i cant undo any of the bolts.iv sprayed loads of wd40 on them and they wont move abit.any tips

wouldn't you be better off using something like plus gas instead of wd40

im now going to fit them at my mates garage.While he is going to fit my new handbreak shoes and cable for £15 im going to do the wishbones as he has a compresser and inpact gun  :y

did the drivers side wisebone today and what a pain in the ass its was.The bolts was that tight we had to heat them up then they came undone and the old wishbone fell out with just one smack from the hammer.Putting the new one in wasnt that bad heated up the rubbers using a heat gun and the new one in one firtst time.You can fell the diffents tho :y

try a decent long breaker bar, and 4 weetabix  ;) ;) ;) :y

The pinch bolt nut can be a real bitch.   I use a breaker bar and a hardened socket on mine (I seem to recall its an unusual size too..).

But what did you mean by heated up the rubbers?

Wondered that myself. Can't see how it would help, and over-cooking the rubber would be bad news.

why not just use the socket and like a breaker bar or shorter version then stick a howge (pronounced as howj) lol piece of scafolding on the end (maybe upto 3 foot long lol)

just got a heat gun to warm them up as in this weather there that hard there a bitch to fit.the heat was only on the bushes for a few sec`s

yup 18mm (not found in most basic socket sets)
