Hi
I have now replaced 3 alternators but the alternator is still showing as not sufficiently charging.
Can somebody point me in the right direction as to what to check
-
Ouch.......Thats got to hurt.
Is the problem that your battery keeps going flat or what.
Please can you give us the full problem

assuming the red battery light is constantly on i would guess there is a open circuit some when , :-/
-
luckily i only had to pay for 1 alternator.
the battery light will only come on very dim when there is alot of power being used i.e full fan or reat windscrren heaters.
i have had the alternator checked out every time i have replaced one and is showing between 12-13 i am told that a normal alternator should be showing 14.
now i am no electrician but sounds like ther is some kind of electrical problem. surely three alternators cannot be duff.
i was hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Check the connections to the battery terminals....do any of them get warm?
-
check all connections to battery as DTM says, also check 0v [aka earth or negative] to the engine block, on mine i found wires corroded inside one of the crimps connected to the positive connection on battery, cut back to good & re-crimped,fine now :y
