Post by: l359064 on 04 January 2009, 21:13:44
What belt do i need to bypass my air con comp. The compressor has siezed and at this time of year it's not needed so in the meantime i'll just bypass it. Cars a 1999 3.0 omega elite auto. Thanks guys for any help.

Do you have a P/N?  My dealer can be quite fussy selling things without a P/N or VIN, and my VIN won't be right!

Is it a straightforward swap?

Cheers

Just looking on trade club - a 2.5 "fan belt" without Aircon is listed P/N 93181718 - would that work?

Sorry, one more Q :-[

What belt length (approx) might work?  I've just found two new belts in my garage of the same width but different lengths.  One is of a 6 Cyl Senator I think, the other is for an Omega but don't know which.

Ta!

Job done today - yes this belt is a straight fit.
