My outside temp is showing that it is -40! I have a feeling that the temp sensor has broken. Where is it and is it easy to replace? Also does the replacement part I need vary depending on the model/age of the car (just wondering if I can get a second hand one without worrying about what car it is from)?
Thanks,
Rob.

Front passenger side under bumper :)

and only about £6 from the dealer, so I wouldnt bother with 2nd hand,
they are the same for all recent Vauxhalls iirc
-
Mine does that on my calibra, if you drive it long enough it takes its self down to -22 but never driven long enough to see if it drops all the way.
-
Maybe its just rather cold ;D ;D

Who would have thought, I dealer doing a part at below £20. Maybe I'm just a sceptic!
I'll go and get one and then see if I can work out how to fit it.

That must've been a looooong loooong time ago then ;). I was offered a sensor of this type for about the same money years ago for my Senator ...... needles to say the Senators used different more expensive sensors. :y :y :y

I think it must be -90 now! I'm not even getting a reading! I guess this means the sensor has completely failed now.
