There was me thinking I had finally been a good boy and found gearbox and someone to fit it for me.......
Box is in and it drives OK but apparently there is a fault code coming up of P730B. Was told there are a variety of possible causes but before I get into hassling the people that I got the gearbox from is there anything I should be worried about? Don't want to put lots of effort to talk them into paying for remedial work if it is more likely that I have to replace the box.
It's a T Reg 2.5V6 auto and I am 'assured' that it is the right gearbox but it arrived with the torque converter dismounted (didn't see it myself as I had it delivered direct to the gys doing the work)

P0730 is Gear Ratio incorrect. Assuming its not an old code, it means excessive slip in box for at least 2.5s at 3.5k rpm or higher.

Is there a simple way to flush out any old codes? Oh, and is it a Tech2 type job (or whatever that magic box is) to search for new ones?
Become quite an expert at the paperclip job, just wondered if there was an equivalent

A good code reader needed to clear codes, and check for new ones
