Just painted my new headlamp washer nozzles with 3 coats of manufacturers paint. results are quite reasonable, but I prefer the primed colour on the white background. Anyway is there any need to wax or polish the new paint finish? It is quite a small item so might not be worth it.

by painting it did you give it a coat or 2 of clear laquer? otherwise the paint will be open to the elements, and fade or flake off,
If you have laquered them, then yes once fully hardened, use something like autoglym super resin to protect them and give them a nice shine :y

Blast, no I didn't put any lacquer on. Vauxhall reckon you don't need it, I did check with them. The colour is Glacier white.

glacier white... ahh .. then just use the super resin then :y
if it was pearl or metallic, then laquer is a must :)
-
for new paints you need a few days to wax..

I would leave it at least a week before waxing to allow paint to harden - ideally longer!

TBH I would wait until it's a bit warmer ---- but I am a sad old git who doesn't like the cold :D

I'll get hold of some of this super resin wax stuff for the weekend. Thanks for the tips. :y
