I need a new coil pack my car is a MINI F/L MV6
i dont have the time to take the car apart just to see what connector my coil is!
is it safe to asume its an oval connector? all the other ones are eg. MAF, Crank Sensor
-
I would just take it of, then you know what one you need.. not a nice job.. >:(
-
Have got my friend who works for Dyno Rod to come round with his tiny cctv camera to see if i can stick it down the back and have a look
EPC reckons i have a square one but EPC also thinks my MAF & Cranksensor are square ended

I managed! And my mitts are not exactly small. You need to remove the scuttle to yourself a fighting chance though, & 1/4" drive drive Torx sockets -I used a 6 sided ordinary hex socket though.
-
A 'wobbley' adapter and the 1/4" socket set did the trick for me.
Attach the adapter between two extension rods and you should be good to go.
still need to strip the other bits-scuttle,plenum etc. though. :-/

oh so the plenum has to come off then?
is it easier than the V6 vectra to remove the Omega's Plenum?

The plenum can stay put. Just removing the plastic scuttle will give enough (just) room to get to it.

i would try a set of leads first as i had a misfire on my 2.5 elite, turned out to be the very back lead on the passenger side, seems to be the plug that never gets changed as well.
