Title: Where is the engine code found for camber settings
Post by: Biker Boy on 08 January 2009, 11:28:49
Read with intrest the optimum camber settings discussions from v6coop as I have the same problem. Spoke with WIM who advised alignmycar.com for companies carrying out works. They need the engine code to correctly adjust the camber settings. Any ideas or comments.

Ask Tony at WIM, I bet he knows them off the top of his head ;)

Sounds like they're going to punch in the model and believe whatever defaults come up on the system (invariabley wrong for a worn car). I'd be a little careful. Maybe ask WIM for some base settings.

Thanks, should have thought of that myself. Spoke to Tony who has given me base settings, seems to be really knowledgeable, pity he is so far away from me. Just be wary of the companies on alignmy car.com as Pitstop Warwick said they did not have the kit to do the work.

Hi,
I can also recommend Fleet Fit Tyres at Loughborough.
Had my all wheel alignment done there last year. Absolutely fine, conciencious staff.

Maybe not quite as sophisticated as WIM, but still good job. Boss used to work on police Omegas.

Tell them you come recommended by OOF & ABS member.

Thanks for the help, decided to go to WIM who did the buisness, well impressed, but will bear in mind for future.
