Quick question: what is the right torque for the injectors?

Blimey, when I undone mine, they were much tighter. Broke 2 sockets on them :o

Loosening mine #1-2 where really loose.. on #3 I broke my socket as well. Luckily I got the dealer to accept it as "material failure" - ie. guarantee covered ;D That #6 is [BEEP] of a [BEEEEB] to get out if you don't pull the engine out.

I had no trouble with No6, other than it was too tight to undo ;D. Now, I only use the special injector socket on No4, others I use a big, strong normal deep socket.
As for fuel pipe, can't get a torque wrencg on it, so I just nip mine up just enough to stop weeping.

Injector to cylinder head 65Nm.
Injector pipes also 65Nm.

Off the subject but still on loose bolts. An ex-girlfriend managed to "slightly" overheat my Carlton's engine when the top rad hose split and she didn't notice until the car ground to a halt.
Cooked it so much there was a trough cut from one cylinder to the outside and I was able to removed almost all the cylinder head bolts by hand...no need to use a tool. No stripped threads fortunately, just worked loose.
Is it just my strange mind or does a cooked motor smell like the worst case of sprouts 'n' cabbage induced flatulence ? As the head came off....STROLL ON !!! :o

Its a standard 27mm injector socket. I use a Halfords Pro 27mm Injector socket for No1,2,3,5,6 (under a tenner) and a Draper Expert 27mm Injector socket for No4 (one with the sensor in.

Whats the difference between the two sockets anyway? Does the draper one have a slot for the wire? :-/

No.4 injector has 'start of injection' sensor built into it.
