Title: EGR blanking on 3.0 mv6

What are the Pro's and Con's of this, i was told it dont make alot of diffrence with performance but helps keep Breathers unblocked.

Any other views or opinions on this guys?  :)

will drop the fuel consumption approx 0.5 liter / 100 kms..

acceleration very very slightly better..

EGR wont become dirty..

when the engine become hot will play with the idle a bit..

  This couldn't be whats causing my idle to be 1100 rpm can it as it was alright before i blocked it off and can find no other cause such as air leak etc?

1100 rpm..nope..mine plays very slightly say 100-150 rpm when the engine first become hot..

A lad on the Yahoo group had some plasma cut via work some years back. It's that long back now I can't remember who. :-[ It was a perect copy of the gasket though in 2 or 3 mm plate ...... without the midddle hole!  ;) ;) :y :y :y

   I don't get any fluctuation cem :), sits steady at 1100rpm :(.

So just plate flat coke tin sheet ober area , cut around and make Bolt holes?


That easy?

Will i gain managment Probs with light or should it be ok?

How easy are the bolts to be undone?

I take it best will be whyen engine is hot?

Also is tehre a link on the"  how to "to this.

I know its a simple task but i just wanna see how others have done it?

just make sure you DON'T unplug the EGR ..that will cause an EML fault for certain ...

Only if you want to burn your fingers! Probably makes no difference, but cold is nicer.  ;D  ;D

I can't see you'll need any penetrating fluid or water disperser.  ;)

Check you have some slack in the throttle cable (not to much).

Check the throttle butterfly shuts fully.
