Title: Rebuilding
Post by: ScottieMV6 on 22 January 2009, 11:44:08
Just in the process of putting everything back together after cam belt change and cam cover gasket change.

Is it necessary to change the inlet bridge to inlet and inlet to plenum gaskets or will the old ones be ok?

I only ask because I haven't ordered them and it is now stopping completing the work.

Thanks

I would check them for signs of damage but should be ok to re-use ;)

I've just done my cam cover seals and didn't bother changing them (that's the inlet seals) and car runs fine but so as long as they are in reasonable condition and you torque everything down properly you should be ok to use them again. :y

I didn't change them when I did mine - just removed, inspected, and re-greased them with very light bearing grease before re-fitting them.  :y
