Title: heater problem

hi just bought 1998 omega 2.5 td cdx and the heaters on high but only gets luke warm,would welcome any advise...thanks

Have a look on here for HBV or Heater Bypass Valve.  It allows hot engine coolant to circulate through the heater matrix and is vacuum operated.  Quite possible that the narrow bore vacuum pipe is detatched.   On petrol V6 its against the bulkhead, drivers side, at the rear of the engine.  Not sure of the location on the TD, no doubt someone will confirm for you soon.  :y

Numerous threads that discuss cold miggies ....  if memory serves ... some of the solutions include

Reverse Flush Heater matrix
Change HBV
Re-attach HBV vacuum lines
Reset Climate system

and probably some more I can't remember   :(

beaten by a whisker .....  :)
