Hi,
Think the bonnet cable has stretched itself beyond repair, can't get under the bonnet at all now, how easy is it to replace the cable?
Cheers,
Iain

I have the same problem, but managed to get under the hood with some one pressing and lifting the front of the bonnet.
Can the cable be adjusted.

open the bonnet (if need be remove the handle inside the car and use a pair of pliers while someone bounces the bonnet).as you look at the slam panel there is a black plastic strip/cover running along it remove this (2 torx bolts if i remember).once this is off you will see the bonnet cable held by one bolt and a little clamp type thing.
undo this and move the cable to the right(pass side) the re tighten try and put back together.
job done :)

There is, apparantly, a way of getting into the engine bay without breaking anything, it was mentioned in another thread, and the info.. very sensibly ... was passed by PM to avoid "public knowledge"...
If you are lucky that member might pass by and give you the same info ... (wasn't me .. I don't know the secret ... :( )

I have this very problem now myself, I can get it open with one person pulling the lever and the other pushing down on the bonnet, but , unless I grow very long arms, cant get it open on my own, which in this weather with the need to constantly top up the screenwash is a bit of a pain!!Thanks for the tip!!
