Hi all, new to website its great, Just bought a mv6 2.5  being new to this car i think it has a bmw motor, do i need to get the cambelt changed, the last owner could not help me with any info,i am very concerended and think i need to change asap, thanks for any help, Mick

if it has a bmw motor its not a mv6 bud also the mv6 was a 3.0 or 2.6 or 3.2 !! is it petrol or diesel  :-/ :-/

to further on to what markey mark put, the 2.5td only ever went upto an elite, never mv6 (i joked about buying a 2.5td and putting an mv6 badge on along with the wheels lol)

Hi Mark, the car is an estate its opel french reg , we live in france, has mv6 on the bodywork,and is diesel thanks Mick...

Be interested to see some pics. Never seen or heard of a diesel MV6 :-/

thats a euro spec elite then matey !! ok bmw lump doesnt have a cambelt it has a chain but you must change the oil and filter every 3k max of it will give you trouble ! if its a manual get it chipped makes it a lot nicer and more econimcal  :y

Thanks guys, just been to my local opel dealer to check, he said if it is 2.6 and diesel no worries it has a chain for the cam. Is it possible to put on this website a photo of my mv6 info please ta Mick....
