Title: Does this waterpump look right?

Ok so I have taken the water pump back off and succesfully removed the snapped bolt. However I just noticed this hole on the body of the pump. Does this look right?

Yes.  Its a tell tale hole so you can see when the first seal is leaking and to prevent water getting into the casting/bearing housings...
