Post by: thelaminator2 on 27 January 2009, 13:26:04
I've got a w reg 2.5 gls,
now its my first auto after 16 years of driving and my style is still quite late and hard on the brakes
I was wondering what brakes anyone is running
I was thinking grooved ebc discs with greenstuff pads ?
Regards
Ian

I’ve noticed that when discs are changed to some cheap ones from Kwik-Fit or ATS, breaking is worse than on old ones… Why? Don’t know, but I think that material is also important and it’s not just “a steel disc”. I bought an Omega with drilled discs and green pads and it was braking worse than old OEM discs in my Miggi. Replaced pads with Vx ones – bit better but still poor. Replaced discs with a second hand Vx branded and it went back to normal.
If you want to look for a genuine suppliers, look for ATE.
