Hi all,
The bulbs in my xenons must be about 10 years old now and so are not as bright as new cars with xenons.
Does anyone know the best place to source replacement bulbs and is there much of a difference in bulb performance?
Thanks

Define BEST ;)
The branded ones from Vauxhall at £70 a bulb are best
or
the Unbranded ones from ebay - autobulbs direct at £40 a pair were best for me ;)
They are considerably brighter than the old originals (one of mine had failed)
Also consider the colour temp...
Vauxhall's are 4300K, a yellowey very illuminating light.
Most on ebay are higher than this (6000K +), which gives a whiter, then moving to bluer and purplely lights, which dont illuminate as well.
5000K is probably about optimum if you find any.
they are D2S fitting by the way.

thanks for that i will search ebay.

Just had a quick look on ebay and found these...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-BULBS-XENON-HID-CONVERSION-H1-H3-H4-H7-D2S-9006-6000K_W0QQitemZ120368936477QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item120368936477&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1299%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1308
the kit including shipping only comes to 20 quid. is it worth taking the bulbs out of one of these kits?
Also is 3000k the brightest bulb? im not worried about looks, just light output.

I think 3000 will be too yellowey, and not great illumination.
D2S, is not in his drop down box, not sure on that one at all :-/

agree with jimbob :y use autobulbs direct ...not sure if its still on but they where doing an offer on vvoc of a pair of bulbs for £30 delivered ...had a set of 6000 k off them in december and they're working well

Thats a good price!
Ad not strictly correct, you DO NOT need to carry HID bulbs, as they are (according to handbooks) dealer change only, due to voltages involved.

Are the difficult to replace as mine dont seem as bright as other vehs ive seen

Don`t know what other`s think, but personally I`d disconnect battery and wait a while before attempting just to be on the safe side. :y
