You need a Torx bit to remove the three screws and I took out the airbox and the battery when I did mine as it made a fiddly job ten times easier!

Not the head unit if you still have the factory fit, the security on the siemens ncdc 201* series head units is in the pairing with the screen in the dash, so no code as such.
Windows just hold the buttons up for a couple of seconds when closed, sunroof press the button in the open position first, then closed, then tilt. Might be wise to make sure its working in all positions first if you have not used it for a while.

Exactly what one would do on mine after a few months. Went back to the OEM bulbs and all was fine. Looking for some Phillips 5000K or other known brand next time.

when i turn my h/lights on,they come on bright then dim then brighten up,think it is the condensor.
Who remembers the old ign points, the test for the condensor was charge it with 12v put it to one side for a few min then get the new boy to take hold of the pig tail if he jumped 2ft in the air the condensor was ok held the charge if he did`nt the condensor was shorted out and no good.

Worth checking the connections on the bulb wiring. I had a loose connector on one lamp and it was showing the same symptoms. Would light up then go out. Cleaned the contacts and it was fine. Was an old bulb rather than a new one, but all things are built to a tollerance and being new doesnt mean it will work.
