Not has any probs with the car for months now, probably due to the fact that I bought a motorbike so the car hardly ever gets used any more.
I have noticed that the EML has been taking longer to go out than normal when I first start the car, finally got round to flashing the codes out and got
129: Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Feedback Voltage Low
93: Hall Sensor Voltage Low
I have a spare EGR valve from my last Omega that was scrapped so I may try swapping that over and see if it cures the problem but i've no idea what a Hall sensor is. Anyone care to enlighten me?
The car hasn't been running any different, it's sometimes a little more difficult to start than normal but apart from that i can't say i've noticed any sort of change.

That relates to the cam sensor by no4 cam....so check the wiring and that its plugged in!

You'll have to forgive me for sounding thick but i've not been fiddling with the car at all for the past few months so have forgetton where half the bits are now. Is it accessible from the bonnet or do i need to go under the car, if it's the latter then it'll have to wait until the snow has gone >:(

Down by the front passenger side of the plenum in front of and underneath the ICV :y

it's plugged in and the wiring looks undamaged so i'm guessing a replacement will be needed.
Don't suppose that could be the reason for what seems like my rather horrific MPG (averaging 19) although i seem to remember that wasn't that unrealistic a figure given that it's an auto and only really used to short runs.

For the record: A Hall sensor is one that utilises the Hall effect to detect magnetic fields in electrical circuits. Most often used to detect rotation of magnets placed on shafts for speed/position feedback.
With a DTC like that it's lucky you only have 1 on the car! - Just as well it didn't say 'microswitch failure'! ;)
