Post by: MutantCav on 04 February 2009, 07:58:54
Ok so I have a facelift MV6 here...ex cop but still should have upgraded shocks and springs?? So how easy is it to remove them and whats the easiest way? Remove the entire strut??

Also is it upgraded front and back or just on the back?

Its questionable if they are lowered.

They are certainly heavier duty!

Remove the front strutts as an assembly.

Rears will require springs and shocks removing seperately.

Think they will go with the car then to the scrappy as I need the struts on to tow it to meet its maker and dont have spring compressors etc

Yes, they come off as an assembly with the spring and shock all as one.

Remove the two bolts at the bottom where they join onto the hub, single nut at the top in the engine bay and disconnect the anti roll bar drop link.

Unclip the brake pipes and sensor cables and lift it out.

Dont forget to remove the diff
