Title: Brake pad wear indicator
Post by: Raymienets on 04 February 2009, 19:45:16
Does this just slot into the gap in the caliper or do I need to remove the caliper.

caliper needs to be lifted up, the sensor actually clips into the brake pad itself, the wire then comes out through the gap in the caliper

I managed to fit my wear sensors by removing the wheel and carefully placing the sensors into place and gently levering them home, thus no need to unbolt the caliper again.....

edit - thats through the gap in the caliper.....  ;)

extra edit -. and with new pads....

Just replaced with new pads last week so was hoping to just slot it into the caliper without having to take it off.

If you are carefull, you should be fine.  Remember the plastic of the sensors is quite fragile so, softly and cleverly when levering into place....     :y
