Title: Air Conditioning
Post by: Loch View on 08 February 2009, 21:25:35
Good evening,

I was wondering what the eco-button does. After having a look under the bonnet it does seem I have A/C but there doesn't seem to be any A/C button on the dash :-?

Mine's a facelift which also has the eco button. To switch the a/c on use the button on the RH side of the eco button which on mine says off, I think. Then pressing the eco button switches the aircon off and just delivers hot/cold air to the outlets selected.
Not sure whether the buttons are the same pre facelift, having never owned one.

Does your dash look like .....

if so, you have climate control. Pressing 'AUTO' turns the air con on in automatic, pressing ECO switches the compressor OFF so you just have hot & cold but NO air conditioning.

No A/C?  :(
I could swear I have the A/C L and H-side fill connectors under the bonnet  :-?
My dash is similar to that in the pic, only the button on the RH side of the eco is blank

Is that different from the picture I posted?  :-/ :-/ :y
Just press 'AUTO' then to turn the system on in automatic. press ECO to have automatic heating but with the airconditioning part turned off.
Don't forget that you can have warm air that's been airconditioned. Airconditioning doesn't have to cold.
