Post by: Pippin on 10 February 2009, 08:58:28
Hi All

Hoping you can help me, i have just changed the cam sensor on my 2002 2.2cd and now it won't start. All that is happening is the EML is on and it just turns over with no attempt to fire.....

Any suggestions greatly appreciated....

Thanks in advance

Take it out, give it a clean. Try again. If still won`t start, try the old one

i suspect they need all the money they have to keep them selves going as a company, i doubt they are interested in decent made parts any more  :(

I was lucky i got one of the last propper geniune exhausts, it was exactly the same as what came off it terms of design and look (minus rust)

If you are passing me again, I'll reclear all the codes in engine ecu (no charge :y) so you know that your car is clear of faultcodes :)

Cheers TheBoy, that would be so good.... have had a really busy day today, done the shocks, bushes and ended up putting new springs on the back...

I am so surprised how different the car feels engine wise, i didn't think the cam sensor would make such a difference...
