Have not been on a long motorway road for the past week and have just noticed that at 60 on a flat road it,s giving about 2K rpm in top gear 4th at its an Auto . Does this seen right i have had the battey of to change my HID Bulbs yesterday, don,t know with the gearbox being adaptive if it takes time to ajust. Car is still giving normal MPG on the 50 Mile run.
Thanks
Steve.

Seems correct to me. Mine is similar :y

Great did seem to go from 1-4th ok with rpm dropping at each change. And when i changed up and down manualy it was just the same. Many just be me :D :D. When i gave it a quick run to overtake at 80 it was about 3k i think. Have had a SS system fitted and the car is a lot freer reving than before so may just take some getting used to.

What is it like?

Sounds a bit low.
Given that the physical gears are not affected by the battery then it should not have changed.
If we consider that the final dive ratio is 3.99:1 and the top cog ratio is 0.72:1 we have the rear wheel turning 696 times per minute at 2000rpm. This is 41771 times per hour.
Given that for a 17 inch wheel the circumference of the tyre is 2.020m so in 1 hour you travel 84377m which is 52mph......so I would say thats low and hence we should check the instrument panel coding out!
What does the average speed state on the computer if you travel at 60mph and reset it?

Not Checked that as yet but can on the way home tonight and report back to you.

Also if you have sat nav set it with the speed on it and it will give a you an idea of your speed at a constant 60 as well. As Mark says with resetting the computer I have a;;ways checked them at 60 an 70 on a constant speed on the motorway to see how far out my speedo is.

Good point Skruntie
Have the factory fitted one which dose not show speed But will have a closer check on things on the way home tonight..

Mine is not far off 2000 RPM @ 60 indicated. Probably a little over - 2100 / 2200 perhaps. 60 Indicated being less than 60 actual of course..

Have just ran out in the car to the shops mine on second inspection is around 2100 2200 mark.
It just seem to get up there quicker since having the new S S system fitted
