Hello all,
I'm still losing coolant from my 98 2.5v6,
It does not appear to be dripping out anywhere.
When I remove the cap to top up, a lot of air seems to gurgle out and I can here this gurgling noise around the plenum chamber area as well.
Could it be a leaking inlet manifold or head gasket?
It has been losing water for over a year now, there is no water in the oil. The car is now losing a pint or so a week.
Thanks
Steve

Thanks all-but what is an HBV?
Is it the heater module right at the back of the bay with quite few pipes off it?
I did change a unit like this which was actully leaking water onto the floor about 5 years ago.

Heater By-pass Valve.
Sounds to be the same as the one you changed, looks like a twisted round Starship Enterprise! Lives at the back of the driver's side of the engine bay. You'll find a picture on the site somewhere ....... ;) :y :y
