Title: bonnet release

has anyone ever had any trouble with the bonnet catch on their mig.i have to almost snap the lever to release it.i have tried adjusting it,but still the same.any ideas.

check if your bonnet lines up on both sides.

Wriggle and push bonnet down whilst pulling the Strap (2 People required) if thats easyier, then re alignment and some oil required.

Catch on my sons estate was really stiff and needed 2 'pulls' to finally get the bonnet to pop up.  Had a look and the retaining pin and catch on the slam panel was rusty dry.  Some spray grease on the bonnet pin and some into the catch area on the slam panel, a few opens/closes later, and all now sweet....   :y
