Ok i have tried the search and i cant find what im looking for...
Can anyone recommend a supplier for a full downpipe for my 2002 2.2,
I need the full pipe from manifold to centre section including cats...
Any idea on price as well
Thanks guys :y

I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend. I'm unable to recommend anyone but i remember reading others having stuff done by powerflow - full stainless with lifetime guarantee.
Someone else will come up with other answers soon i'm sure.

I kinda thought about a full stainless, but the last time i got one on a Monza it was £580!
Not got that kind of money just now...... :)

Sorry to be so vague but there was a guy on the forum who set up a mobile mechanic business for a while but has now stopped. I'm sure he sourced exhausts from germany that were good. Maybe you could pm him if someone else can remember his name.

Guys,what am i looking for?
Been on-line and pictures ive seen only seem to have 1 box on the pipes....i'm thinking this might be for the 2.0
Mine(2.2) has 2 boxes,what have i got?
1 Cat,1 silencer....or
2 Cats?
Can anyone advise please?

Thanks Rob
Looking at that picture it still looks different to mine??
Mine has the Cat with the sensor, and further up towards the manifold, it has another box, which also has a sensor on it?
The frontpipe in the picture looks like it only has one 'box'
Im confused?? :-/

That is the pre-cat sensor. Maybe OE exhausts had this "box" to accomodate the pcs and aftermarket ones just had a thread mounted on the front pipe :-/

Just about everyone ive sourced is the same,
If im honest i dont really care as long as it works! and doesnt start the EML playing up! ;)
The other thing i wondered is,do i re use the sensors,or would it be better to get new ones?? i know thats going to hike up the cost though.... :(
What else do i need? black grease or something for the sensors??
Im not a big fan of exhausts...i hate doing them ;D

If you can remove them with no damage can`t see a problem re-using them. "Copper slip" can be used on the threads http://www.parkertools.co.uk/macros/Product.mac/Product?Status=guest&ProductNo=0541427

Thanks Rob.... :y
Got a big tub of copper grease here!
I dont know whether to put it in to my mates garage and get him to do it......i hate doing exhausts....did i tell you that! ;D
The other thing that crossed my mind was to get a stainless steel system on it......a place up here do them, they used to be good but dont know much about them now....
RMS engineering in Prestwick....i had a Monza done by them a few years back.....was good then 16 gauge marine steel they use....
Not so sure i want to know the price!! ;D

Buy the exhaust, get your mate to fit it :y As for S/S, depends how long you`re keeping it :question

Buy the exhaust, get your mate to fit it
Now there IS a plan!!! :y
Dont have any intentions of get rid of it but i suppose you never know whats going to happen......
-
Think thats exactly what i'll do Rob!! :y
What else do i need? i take it the pipe to manifold is a dry join with a gasket?

Pretty sure it is. If you`re getting a complete system it should come with the clamps and mounting rubbers, not sure about the studs/bolts from centre pipe to cat though.
-
It has a full new system except the frontpipe,so the bolts look good,
I reckon the system is less than a few weeks old, hasn't even 'sooted' up yet :y
The front pipe is not blowing but the flexi joint is starting to break up, so i figured i would just do it just now before it does go...im convinced there is a slight blow from it.....

Is this what you`re after then :y http://www.cats2go.co.uk/Default.aspx?PageID=20&ProductID=138630&Subject=VX6011/Premium Petrol Cat-VAUXHALL/OPEL-OMEGA 2.2 Saloon, Estate-%c2%a3111.82

flexi joints are replaceable - a lot cheaper than the whole assembly
-
I know mate, but i think its the original plus the rest of the system is new,so might as well replace it....
Sourced one locally for £115 + vat
