noticed some emuseated oil in the filler neck and also just tonight that there is white smoke out the exhaust at high revs nut not srue if thats just because of the weather were having or a result of water getting into the cylinder . peformance does not seem to be down but then i would not know i've not had the car long about 2 month and the tempture is normal and does not get hot at all . so is there any way to dignose it deffently to the head gasget(s) and how hard are they to change ?

Normal....its cold and the Omega has a big exhaust and efficient cats hence the wet exhaust.
Mayo in the filler neck is also normal, more common with shorter journeys and naff oil (i.e. Castrol)

that may explain alot its only been doing short journeys for a couple of weeks and i did top up the oil useing castrol [smiley=embarassed.gif] the car needs a good service , whats the best oil to use ?

General concensus on here for oil is the Vuaxhall semi synth. Best to get a trade club card (£20 to join Autobahnstormers.co.uk) then purchase the oil on a 4 for 3 offer. Do a couple of quick oil changes (3 or 4 thou mile intervals) and ensure that the engine breathers are cleaned out at the same time...
Theres a guide somewhere for the breather clean..... Race you to find it on the forum... ;)
