If it's ex-plod it'll be an MV6. The rear windows are d/c'd so a case of tracing the wires back. Same with the interior light. They tend to butcher the wiring somewhat

mine is the same. interior lights dont work on my ex plod. or boot light. so will have to search the butchered wiring.

I got the boot light working, just cant get the interior ones to work when the doors are opened...
Reading lights work fine though ;D

Some were identified as Elite on the log book.

Yup i have seen that, its listed as Elite on the log book, but has none of the toys and its basically GLS spec.
Strange really, i thought plod would have wanted it shown GLS spec, surely cheaper for them to insure?

I stand to be corrected ..... but I think it's from when the Omega was first introduced. The Elite was the only 3.0 to start with and as they (Plod) were trying to replace the 24v Senator they used poverty spec 'Elites'

thanks for replies.looks like will just have to trace wiring back.have already tried with rear windows,no luck yet.would they be disconnected at door switch or at fuse box?apart from these niggling faults, love the car.

Check and see if there are any additional holes in the centre console or strange switches that appear to do nothing. Sometimes a secondary switch is fitted into the interior light wiring so the lights can be disabled so as to stop them working.
Or, conversely, a switch that allows them all to work at the same time, additional to the normal headlight switch. It really does vary from force to force.....
