hi i am having a bit of a problem
as the car gets hot it cuts out it started when i was coming back from bluewater on the a2 as i came to the roundabout it just stopped put it in to n and started again it did it about 3 times before i got back home
i believed it was idle control vale as the chip is missing but it has started to stop when it gets hot if it is just sitting or driving so it may not be the i,c,v anyone know if there is a common problem or if i am just unlucky .
i have put it on the computer and said it was the chrank sensor but don't know i have bin told sometimes the computer can be wrong
please help :'(

What were the codes - 19 is crank sensor.
Cleaning the ICV with carb cleaner costs very little, doesn't take long and could well cure your problem - try it first!
-
Classic crank sensor problem, a new one will cure it.
-
just one more thing can anyone tell me if the 3.0 v6 has i type of sensor or too mine is a 1998 s reg i have a part number from ebay 90485251 but it says it has a steel sump and mine has a alley one
-
Mine does the self same thing but only when very low on fuel.
-
98 s reg will have an oval plug and be part number 90540743...
Part 90485251 is black Vauxhall sealant used for camcover gaskets!!
-
have just ordered the part it was £35.02 think that was a good price
-
Hope you bought genuine VX part not pattern ;)
-
Its crank sensor symptoms. Every v6 owner should carry a spare ;D
Your car could take 1 of 2 types, most likely the plastic type.
Stick to genuine GM for this part if possible.

Hi
This sounds to me to be the air mass sencer in the trucking from the air filter, may be the fuse link is on the way out, usual signs may be engine hot but temp ok, fuel comsumtion a bit high if you can souce another to try first, they are expensive about 80.00 plus and i think their are two.
See how you go :)
-
caunt picter it can you give me more info or picter please (sorry) :(
-
hi to all i have fand that the air filter case locks are not on the case could this be the problem or not
