Can anyone confirm that the dog guard for an Astra or Zafira also fits the Omega?

Again not sure, but I got one from Halfords that fits onto the rear head restraints, rather than into the back of the car and suits me, and the dogs fine.

Had an Astra (proper GM metal one) estate dog guard once, it fitted into my Primera estate ok. As for it fitting an Omega estate, no they are much wider. I have one for my Omega, not sure whether they fit the Zafira though.

There's one on egay for sale says it fits Astra/Vectra /Zafira & OMEGA ! you could ask him to measure it for you & compare it to one in an Omega (Ihave one so can tell you all sizes you need)
