Title: No pressure in coolant system when cold. Normal?
Post by: Rockfordk on 19 February 2009, 09:16:39
I have recently had major work done on my car (Omega 2.2 GLS Auto estate) due to loss of coolant. You name it they did it!! Head gasket etc . . . Almost £1100.
I noticed yesterday that the engine was running slightly hot. Oil and coolant levels are ok but there was no pressure in the coolant system at all this morning. Engine was cold.
Is this normal?
May be a daft question, but not very technically gifted where cars are concerned!!

Sounds fine, given the engine's cold.
