Recently had BRAKE PADS come up on mid display. been told its only front pads with sensors on? Do all mig pads come with sensors? Anyone got a linky to who they have used in past please?? :y
-
on prefacelifts, 1 sensor on each inboard pad at front. Sensors are seperate item from pad - just clip in to pad.

Well as its come up on mid that means they will be fubared. Is that right?

yes, the sensors have worn through due to either low pads (down to last 1/3rd or so) or badly lipped disc. If the disc, change disc/pads/sensors. If just the pads, change pads and sensors.

Thanks TB :y

Exactly the same as your Senator.

Is it different on facelifts then ? While WIM had the front wheels off this week I had a good poke around - There was a cable on both the n/s and o/s connected to one of the pads, so I assumed sensors on both sides ?
Just useful to know as they are getting low and will need to replace disks too when the pads are changed so when i pick up all the parts want to make sure I get the right number of sensors !

Late facelifts have just one sensor, earlier cars have 2 like preface lifts :y

On prefacelifts, 1 sensor on each inboard pad. So 2 sensors. From 2001, only 1 sensor fitted.
