You need to remove the fan belt. Then undo the A/C compressor and move it out of the way.
Remove the bracket that the compressor is mounted on. Its held on by 4 bolts
1. behind the compressor,
2. near the exhaust manifold,
3.one through the engine bracket
4. Cant remember

The crank sensor is located between the Pas pump ans the A/c compressor right on the block.

It can be done without removing all that if you dont mind losing a bit of skin. Remove the dipstick pipe and get a 1/4 drive flexi ratchet and you can just get in to remove it.

Like I say though you do tend to loose a little bit of skin off your fingers  ;D
