Title: Oil covering top of spark plugs...
Post by: Barcarolle on 21 February 2009, 13:12:43
Hi - car is running fine, but thought I'd change the plugs on my Omega 2.0 GLS...

Plugs and caps were totally immersed in oil (could explain slight leakage from underbody).

Is this camshaft gaskets? - if so, is it easy to sort out?

...and what's it likely to cost at my local repair shop?

Thanks.

Yes, it's the camshaft cover gaskets. This is caused by the breathers being blocked. Some very good how to's on the forum. Quite an easy job.  :)
